Mirage callouts: connect the name to the route

Mirage callouts are shared names for places on the map. Learn them as connected routes—A ramp and palace into A, mid through connector or short, and apartments into B—rather than memorizing an alphabetical list. Include what you saw and where it was moving.

These are common communication labels, not a guarantee that every server uses identical boundaries.

Walk three paths

First walk from A ramp onto site, look toward stairs and identify jungle before moving toward CT. Then walk mid and compare the window sightline with the connector opening. Finally approach B through apartments and identify where market can contest you.

Use practice setup and the current in-game map. Valve added starter map guides in its March 2026 update; use the client’s guide alongside the actual geometry rather than an old image alone.

Turn a name into usable information

“One connector, moving toward A” is more useful than “there.” “Last seen window” is more honest than claiming a player remains there after several seconds. Separate the number seen, position, direction and whether the information is current. Avoid talking over a teammate during the final duel.

Mirage smokes uses the same locations to describe which sightline you want to block. Dust 2 callouts covers a different map, not alternate Mirage names.

Do not transfer map names to a different arena

PvPStrike is a separate arena, not Mirage. Use cover and route descriptions appropriate to the actual game. For native map selection see CS2 map pool; browse the FPS topic for other map guides.

Reset the route vocabulary when the map changes

The same clearing discipline applies on other maps, but the routes differ. Nuke callouts adds upper/lower-floor information; Anubis and Ancient callouts keeps two distinct route systems separate. Do not carry Mirage's location names into a different layout.
