CS2 ranks: Premier numbers are not every ranking system
CS2 ranks are not one universal ladder. Premier uses a numerical CS Rating, Competitive has Skill Groups, and third-party platforms such as FACEIT use their own systems. Compare like with like and label the mode and season before interpreting a rank.

Keep the labels separate
| System | Label to record | Do not treat it as |
|---|---|---|
| Premier | CS Rating and season | A fixed FACEIT conversion |
| Competitive | Skill Group and relevant map context | Universal browser-duel skill |
| FACEIT | Elo, level and season | Valve’s own rating |
| PvPStrike | Its own competitive ladder | A certified CS2 rank |
Prime and mode access are described by Steam Support. The client and official notes should settle current eligibility questions.
Why a rank comparison can mislead
Two equally labeled players may differ by role, preferred maps, recent activity or opponent pool. A team-match result also contains team coordination and other players’ contributions. A small series of 1v1 duels cannot calibrate an exact global skill percentile.
FACEIT Elo owns the platform thresholds. K/D ratio explains why a personal statistic is not a rank formula.
Track improvement without inventing a distribution
Record your mode, season, result sample and recurring errors. Use comparable matches rather than choosing the best session as your normal level. If a site claims an “average rank,” ask which accounts, regions, time period and inactive-player rules produced it.
For an actionable routine, use aim training. Mechanical drills can support performance, but they do not promise a specific rating gain.
Rank and match trust answer different questions
Trust Factor is not a public skill rank, and Prime is not proof that a match has no cheats. PvPStrike uses its own ladder and eligibility terms. Find the distinct systems in the FPS & aim topic.
