CS2 crosshair codes: import a setup and test it properly
A CS2 crosshair code shares a crosshair configuration. Import it through the crosshair settings, save your previous code first, and test it at normal playing resolution. The best CS2 crosshair is one you can see without covering the target; a pro name does not make it more accurate.

Import without losing your current setup
- Open CS2 Settings, then Game and Crosshair.
- Use the share/import control to copy your current code somewhere safe.
- Paste the new code into the import field and apply it.
- Load practice and check visibility before queueing.
Use a code from its actual publisher or player, with a date. We do not label an unverified string as donk's or s1mple's current code. The settings guide covers the rest of the configuration.
Test visibility, not fashion
| Test | What to look for | Adjustment to try |
|---|---|---|
| Bright wall | Outline disappears | Increase contrast or outline |
| Dark corner | Center is hard to locate | Brighter color |
| Long sightline | Reticle hides the head | Reduce size or thickness |
| Moving target | Eyes lose the center | Simplify the shape |
Change one property at a time. Keep a backup so a failed experiment is reversible. Aim training supplies a repeatable first-shot drill.
Crosshair movement is not the whole weapon model
A static crosshair stays visually stable but does not make every bullet land at its center. Weapon recovery and movement still matter. A dynamic display can help you notice inaccuracy, but it is feedback rather than an aiming exemption.
Learn spray patterns and counter-strafing instead of changing the reticle after every missed duel.
Using a different shooter
A native crosshair code is different from an overlay
An imported code changes the game's own sight. A crosshair overlay adds another layer and raises separate game, platform and competition-rule questions. For the surrounding control setup, CS2 binds covers key assignments without treating a crosshair code as an automation script.
