Bovada review for 2026: a 50% cap and no state licence

A Bovada review starts with the help pages that opened. The host is bovada.lv. The about page says the brand has offered betting since December 2011, and it prints no certificate number.

Is Bovada legit

Legit, here, means the rules you can read. The ID article says an account holder should be 18 or older, the true owner of the card, and the person who receives the payout. ID, if requested, is reviewed in about 24 to 48 hours.

No US state licence appears on the about page or the help articles below. A restricted-state list is not a licence for the other states. Your home law is still yours.

The hub is the sports cluster. How a sports price is settled keeps the vocabulary. Where a state commission actually exists is a different map.

The promo page titles a $250 sports welcome and then prints a 50% bonus up to $250. You redeem it, deposit, and the bonus is available for wagering within 30 minutes of a processed deposit. It applies only to the first deposit.

Bovada bonus

Rollover is 5x sports, 5x horses, and 30x casino, on both the deposit and the bonus. A winning sports wager counts the lesser of risk or win, and a losing one counts the risk.

Live dealer play does not count toward the casino roll. Bonus funds cannot be used on live dealer games.

If you withdraw before the terms are met, the bonus and the money earned by wagering it are forfeited. The program is described as for US recreational bettors. They may revoke it for players they call professional or abusive.

General bonus terms add a $20 minimum to activate a deposit bonus, unless a page says otherwise. One bonus per person, household, address, email, card, phone, device, and IP.

System bets do not count, and voucher deposits cannot redeem a bonus. While a bonus is active, the sports max bet is 50% of the deposit and the casino max bet is 20%, unless the landing page says otherwise.

Slots contribute 100%, and table games contribute 20%. Blackjack and video poker contribute 10%. Roulette and baccarat contribute 5%, while craps and live casino contribute 0%.

Example, their formula: a $200 first deposit at 50% is a $100 bonus. Sports rollover is 5 times $300, which is $1,500 of qualifying handle. We did not place that handle.

Example, the cap: a $600 deposit does not become a $300 bonus, because the cap is $250. Casino rollover on an $850 stack at 30x would be $25,500. That multiple is theirs, not a promise the button still shows the offer.

The Bovada review of the withdrawal article stops at the window they printed. Requests are first come, first served, and take about 24 to 48 hours to be reviewed. Bitcoin, Player Transfer, and Voucher take about 24 hours for approval.

Bovada withdrawal time

The amount leaves the balance immediately for the review stage. Delivery after approval is on each method's screen, so one delivery number is not published. Deposits must be wagered completely, or they may cancel the request.

A check by courier costs a $100 fee. Checks over $3,000 go out every 7 days, and Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash over $9,500 goes out every 3 days.

A lost check can cost a $40 stop-payment fee, and that option ends after 6 months. Checks do not ship to a PO Box or a military address.

Example, their fee: one courier check is charged $100, whether the story you tell yourself is a small check or a large one. The minimum check amount was not on that article. We did not request a check.

A text code confirms the request, and they may ask for documents first. They say staff will not hand you a wallet address in a side channel. Paste addresses only inside the logged-in cashier.

This Bovada review of deposit fees stops at the percent they printed. The first deposit on an accepted credit card is free. Later card deposits cost 15.9% or higher, depending on the card, and the cashier shows the fee under the amount.

The percent can change, and the cashier is the live number. Your bank may treat the charge as a cash advance, add a conversion charge of 5 to 10%, or add an international fee up to 3%.

Cryptocurrency deposits have no fee from Bovada, though the wallet can still charge one. A gift-card note mentions a $20 minimum deposit. That is not a published minimum sports bet, which stays not published.

Example, their floor: a later $100 card deposit is priced at 15.9% or more, and the screen shows the dollar fee before you confirm. We did not run a card. Do not assume the fee is waived because the first deposit was free.

This Bovada review of restricted states uses their list and their spelling. The help article says the book stays open to United States residents except these:

They list "District of Colombia" and "Washington DC" as separate lines. If you live in a restricted state and still have a balance, they say to contact customer service about a cryptocurrency withdrawal.

How PvP compares: Coinflip is one other player, and Fairness recomputes the seed. The extra price inside a line is the sports version of an edge. A Bovada line is not a public hash.

Only if you are 18, or older if your state says so, and only if your state allows the bet.

1. Open the welcome page and the bonus terms, and date them.
2. If your state is on the restricted list, stop.
3. Decide whether the 5x sports roll, or the 30x casino roll, is a price you will actually pay.
4. Prefer a method whose fee you have read. The second card deposit is not free.
5. Wager the deposit completely before you ask for winnings back.
6. If you take the bonus, do not withdraw until the roll is done, or expect the forfeiture sentence.
7. For a courier check, write the $100 fee before you request it.
8. Time one small cash-out yourself. Their review window is a claim, not our measurement.

A Bovada review of one small deposit is the whole test I would run. I would not fund it if you need a state commission or a licence number on the about page. The 50% cap and the later card fee are both printed.

Pros: the percent, the cap, and the rollover are on their promo page. The card fee and the restricted list are on their own pages.

Cons: no licence number and no US state licence are printed. A later card deposit is expensive, and they can revoke the bonus if they call you a professional. Large checks and large crypto leave in installments, and the sports minimum is not published.

Not for minors, anyone in a restricted state who expected a normal payout rail, anyone who needs a commission file number, or anyone sending rent. If the promo page moves, date a new read.
