Double chance covers two full-time results and loses the third
Double chance is a soccer market that covers two of the three full-time results. The ticket wins if either covered result stands after both halves and the referee's added time. The third result loses the stake. There is no refund. This is not a casino bonus and not a pick. Adults 18+ only.

What double chance pays, and what it loses
A full-time soccer match has three results. Home wins, the teams draw, or away wins. A single-result coupon picks one of those three and loses on the other two.
This market picks two and loses on the one left out. The stake is won or lost in full.
Nothing on the coupon returns the stake merely because the score is level. That two-result cover is called double chance.
The page we opened for the clock is IFAB Law 7, the duration of the match. Law 7.1 says a match lasts for two equal halves of 45 minutes. Those halves may be shortened only if the referee and both teams agree before the start, and only if competition rules allow it.
Law 7.3 tells the referee to add time lost in that half. The list includes substitutions, injured players, time wasting, disciplinary sanctions, medical stoppages, VAR checks and reviews, goal celebrations, and any other significant delay.
The fourth official shows the minimum added time at the end of the final minute of each half. The referee may increase that addition.
The referee may not cut it. Law 7.4 extends the half until a penalty that has to be taken or retaken is completed.
The grade clock is the law, not a book we opened
We did not open a sportsbook coupon. A book that grades extra time, or that stops at 90 minutes plus the referee's allowance, will say so on its own rules.
Law 7 mentions extra time only as the setting for a drinks break. The section we opened does not print how long extra time lasts, so that length stays not published.
The sports betting guides collect the rest of the menu. How a sports price is put together is the wider contract. This page is only the two-result cover.
1X, X2, and 12 are three different covers
The labels are short because the three results have old coupon letters: 1 is home, X is the draw, and 2 is away.
The 1X cover wins if the home side wins or the match is drawn. It loses if the away side wins. A 1–1 is a win on this cover, not a push.
The X2 cover wins if the away side wins or the match is drawn. It loses if the home side wins.
The 12 cover wins if either side wins. It loses if the match is drawn.
People buy 12 when they expect a winner and they do not want to name which side. A 0–0 takes the whole stake.
| Cover | Results that win | Result that loses the stake | Stake back on a draw |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1X | home win or draw | away win | no, a draw wins the ticket |
| X2 | away win or draw | home win | no, a draw wins the ticket |
| 12 | home win or away win | draw | no, a draw loses the stake |
Read the letters before the team name. A home badge on a 12 ticket does not mean you need the home side.
Each of these rows is a double chance cover.
A draw refund and a casino tile are other products
A market that returns the stake when the match is level is a different contract. On that ticket a draw is a void, a home win is a win, and an away win is a loss. On 1X, the same draw is a winning result and pays the price.
A double chance ticket that includes the draw pays that draw instead of handing the stake back.
That gap is the whole argument. A draw that returns the stake does not pay profit on 1–1. The 1X cover does, and it charges you for that by shortening the number. We did not open a board, so this page does not print either price.
A goal line that can split the stake can win one half of a stake and push the other. This cover does not split. One full-time result settles the whole stake.
A coupon that needs one goal from each side ignores who wins. A 1–0 can win 1X and lose that goals coupon.
A 1–1 can win both. They are not substitutes.
The same words on a casino button
Some lobbies reuse the two words for a bonus spin, a second chance, or a side bet at a table. That tile is not a full-time soccer result. This site does not sell that bonus, and this page does not quote one.
A four-selection accumulator is also a different shape. The four-selection ticket that splits into fifteen lines is many bets on many events. It is not a cover of two results in one match.
Three even-money pictures, marked as illustrations
No bookmaker line was opened for this file. Every stake below is a double chance illustration.
Even money below means a teaching price where profit equals the stake. It is not a quote, not a likely board, and not a suggestion to bet.
Example 1 — $20 illustration on 1X at even money. A home win or a draw returns $40, which is the $20 stake plus $20 profit. An away win loses $20.
Example 2 — $20 illustration on 12 at even money. A home win or an away win returns $40.
A draw loses $20. That draw loss is the point people miss when they confuse this cover with a refund.
Example 3 — $10 illustration on X2 at even money. An away win or a draw returns $20. A home win loses $10.
| Illustration | Stake | Covered results pay | The result left out |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1X at even money | $20 | $40 back | away win loses $20 |
| 12 at even money | $20 | $40 back | draw loses $20 |
| X2 at even money | $10 | $20 back | home win loses $10 |
None of these rows is a forecast. A match can finish on the uncovered result, and the stake is gone. Adults 18+ only.
Covering two results is a shorter idea, not an edge
A one-result price has to survive two ways to lose. A two-result price has to survive one.
The book should offer less profit when you buy the wider cover. How much less was not measured here, because no board was opened.
A classroom sketch, not a line: if the three results were equally likely, each would be one third. Two of them would be two thirds.
One divided by two thirds is 1.50 in decimal form. Even money is 2.00, which is a longer teaching price than that equal-thirds sketch.
Real matches are not three equal chances. A strong home side makes 1X more likely than 12. This page will not assign those chances to a fixture, and it will not name a side.
The hold built into a price is why three covers on one coupon can all look a little short at once. We did not add a book's three prices, so the hold on this market stays not published.
Shorter profit is the cost of losing on fewer scorelines. It is not evidence that the covered side is safe. The uncovered result still takes the full stake.
A two-result cover is not a player pot
Three products get mixed because each can pay about twice a stake. Only one of them is a full-time soccer cover. This site does not sell that cover.
| Fee or edge | Who you play against | Payout speed | Provably fair | Minimum bet | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sportsbook coupon | hold inside the price; a single edge is not published here | the book | not published | no | not published |
| House-banked casino | not published | the house | not published | not published | not published |
| PVPspinArena | Coinflip takes 5% of the pot | another player | balance updates when the round settles | yes | $1 |
How PvP compares: PVPspinArena does not book soccer, horse races, or any other sport. Coinflip is a pot between two players. Two $50 stakes make a $100 pot, the fee is $5, and the winner receives $95.
A settled round can be recomputed on the fairness page. That check matches this site's commit to the coin. It does not grade 90 minutes, and it does not pay 1X.
Cash-out minimum on this site is $20 in BTC, USDC, or ETH. We did not open a sportsbook account, and we did not time a cash-out.
A coin has two faces. A match has three results.
The shapes are not the same contract.
Checks before the two-result slip is sent
Use the list on the coupon you are holding. A familiar pair of letters does not prove the clock.
- [ ] You are 18 or older, and older still if local law sets a higher age.
- [ ] The button is the two-result soccer cover, not a casino bonus and not a refund-on-a-draw market.
- [ ] You can name the one result that loses the stake.
- [ ] You know a draw wins 1X and X2, and loses 12.
- [ ] The graded period is the two halves plus allowance, or the book has printed a different clock.
- [ ] You are not treating an illustration at even money as a quoted line.
- [ ] The stake fits a loss limit you set before the kickoff.
- [ ] You are not using rent, savings, or money with a due date.
- [ ] A second match is not there to "use" a win from the first.
- [ ] If the session becomes a chase, you stop and call 1-800-GAMBLER.
Who should leave the two-result coupon alone
Do not bet if you are under 18. Do not bet where the wager is illegal. Do not bet with money that has a job, including rent, a bill, or savings you cannot replace.
Do not bet to get even. The uncovered result is allowed to happen.
Law 7 does not owe you the result you covered. This page is an editorial note, not a statute reading, and not a coupon.
PVPspinArena will not book the match. If the slip stops being a bounded spend, call 1-800-GAMBLER and open responsible gambling.
