Native support means the wallet speaks the chain as a first-class home: it derives that chain’s addresses from your keys, shows those balances without a side plugin, and builds transactions the chain will accept. Phantom and other Solana wallets do that for Solana. MetaMask does that for Ethereum and EVM networks. Treating those as the same “crypto wallet” is how deposits vanish. The apps can sit on the same computer and still be looking at different ledgers.

You will see the difference in the address. Ethereum-style addresses used by MetaMask’s native networks start with 0x. Solana addresses are a different string, shown by a Solana wallet. They are not two spellings of one account. Write down the asset and the network the site actually credits. If both words are Solana, you want a Solana address from a Solana wallet, and you want the send button inside that wallet. MetaMask’s 0x account is the wrong destination even if a friend says the coins “usually show up.” They do not show up on a chain that never received them. If both words are an EVM network MetaMask already lists, stay in MetaMask and ignore Solana advice entirely.
